The Rising Cost Of Living..

dscf1378.jpg

I went to Tesco this morning and got SOME groceries for the week and also some other household essentials that had run out. Can you guess how much my bill came to?? I only spent an hour there……. hehe……

Look how long the receipt is… Luckily I went alone…there was so much to put in the trolley… So do you know how much my bill was before savings?

dscf1380.jpg

That’s right, it came to £205.60!!

After savings and £4 discount coupon, it came to £185.46!!  That’s still a lot.

Hubby nearly fainted when I told him the total on the phone…haha…

But I guess that’s what you pay if you want good, fresh food…. Luckily, it’s only for this week that it’s exceptionally expensive. Normally, we usually spend around £50-£80 per week for groceries.

That’s what £185 buys you….filled up my kitchen floor…

Besides that, I also filled up the car and it came to £30, so altogether in just one day I’ve spent £215!!

All this is spent in just less than 2 hours…that’s how fast money goes before it is even warm in my bank and also due to the rising costs of things. Luckily I work as well..if not, we will be broke … hehe

Anyway,if the weather is good tomorrow, we might go to Wales if not then off to Ikea for some shelves….

That’s a long bill. I am sure with 215 pound here, it can filled up my entire kitchen too. Yeap, the cost of things have gone up. All because of oil price.

Nothing is cheap these day! Everytime me & hubby go shopping, we usually end up with RM150 - 250 bill! Luckily we have our shopping once or twice a month. Those exclude little gal’s milk, diapers and other stuff! Sigh! Looks like inflation is everywhere, not only can feel here!

    suesue,
That’s a lot! In Aust, four housemates normally spent about AUD$100 per week. Wah, you spent up till £215. Ok ok, probably the cost of living in UK is much more expensive.
