Can you imagine how can a mother do this to her own innocent child? So terrible…this news have been all over the papers in UK…thought I share it here with my friends.
What kind of a monster is she and the other 2 who does it! No excuse!! They should be executed..death penalty or beheaded!!! Even if mental illness or whatever…but I doubt it! Just pure evil…and no REMORSE!!! Also, the social workers, doctors and other responsible parties should be punished as well!!

LONDON - England - More harrowing details are slowly being revealed of Baby Peter’s murderers.The mother of baby P, the child who was repeatedly tortured for 17 months of his short life then left to die in agony, is a damnation of Haringey council’s lax procedures and Labour’s legacy of incompetence and useless bureaucracy.Tracey Connolly and Steven Barker, who live in Penshurst Road, Tottenham, and Jason Owen, of Wittersham Road, Bromley, south-east London, all appeared in court on Friday 23 November 2007.Baby Peter was subjected to daily torture by the mother, Tracey Connolly, step father Steven Barker and lodger Jason Owen.
Barker’s brother, Jason Owen, 35, who was also convicted of the brutal torture and murder of baby P.

Even though the child’s back and ribs were broken Dr Sabah Al-Zayyat refused to examine the baby at a clinic at St Ann’s Hospital because she thought the baby was “too cranky and distressed” — the baby then endured more torture afterwards finally succumbing to a violent blow to the head and dying.
The post-mortem examination revealed Baby P had suffered:
• Eight broken ribs and a broken back, with another area of bleeding around the spine at neck level.
• Numerous bruises, cuts and abrasions, including a deep tear to his left ear lobe, which had been pulled away from his head.
• Severe lacerations to the top of his head, including a large gouge which could have been caused by a dog bite.
• Blackened finger- and toenails, with several nails missing; the middle finger of his right hand was without a nail and its tip was also missing, as if it had been sliced off.
• A tear to his fraenulum, the strip of skin between the middle of the upper lip and the gum, which had partially healed.
• One of his front teeth had also been knocked out and was found in his colon. He had swallowed it.
The evil mother, who showed no remorse for her actions, boasted from prison that she would be “out before Christmas for a spot of shopping” and laughed in court when details of the horrible injuries inflicted on Baby P were read out.She also gave birth to another child in prison wherein the Haringey Social Services wanted to allow her to keep the child, thankfully the Police intervened and had the child taken into care.
Tracey Connolly and her accomplices tortured the child for many months, resulting in the baby’s agonizing lonely death. She laughed as she witnessed Baby P’s back being broken by her boyfriend!

As a father of a 2.5 year old, I am having a real problem reading this. I actually try and avoid the stories because it is too upsetting. The sad fact is that these individuals will be convicted. They will serve there sentence whilst being protected from Lifers who would mirder them. Then they will be released, given a new life and probably sent to Australia to live a life of luxury at the tax payers expense. Like the Bulger killers. I honestly hope that they get murdered in prison bacuase they don’t deserve any better.

Greedy social workers won’t give up their pay packet. Have no emotions or they would have resigned out of guilt or shame. How can they work with families and have no emotions. Are they worried that they won’t be able to pay their own childrens’ school fees if they lose their jobs? When dealing with some families they should tell it how it is, not how the middle classes like to think it is in a patronising fashion.
First, I want that woman sterilised - she isn’t fit to bear a rat, let alone a human child.

Also, I’ve got a friend who works in the media, and he has just told me that this story is going to get much, much worse, with details of things they can’t release yet. He told me, and it’s stomach-turning.
It’s really horrible…how i wish this country practise whipping and caning…and death penalty for monsters like them.. but I have a feeling the stepfather will get away using the “mental illness/health” act to avoid anything. We won’t even know how they will be treated in prison…probably living very good in the prison….which totally sucks! Because where I come from..I don’t think they will survive the prisons!! And they will probably get lots of whipping too plus the death penalty!!

My boy was born on 25th Februar 2006. He is only 4 days older than Baby P. Maybe also beacuse of that I`m extremly upset and wish all involved are properly punished. I feel absolutely sick, its an absolute disgrace. All these people who claim crying out for violence against Peter’s killers are sadly deluded and frankly idiots. If there are only nominal consequences for brutally torturing a baby then why have a justice system at all? it’s been the everyday person who has done what the courts should have done; expose the truth!

Tracey Connolly of Penhurst Road, Tottenham her foul boyfriend Steven barker and Owen need to be jailed for life. The 14 years imprisonment they have been talking about is an insult to this beautiful child’s memory. I know we have awful crime in the states as well but we also have 25 to life. With only 14 years in jail , that foul ‘mother’ could be out in her 40’s and become some Manson like celebrity-in fact she is like a Manson girl. One question that I have had going around in my head that I would really love an answer to and have looked for answers but had no luck is When Baby P was placed in care it was with the mothers friend and a child minder, Why on earth was it not with his father??? And why didn’t the father fight for custody at this point in time as he must have been informed that his son was being put in care???
Isn’t the 15yr old just as bad? She could have left and went to the police (esp with the amount of “evidence” she has given) Why didn’t she?
The little mite now has a memorial put together by members of the public, and beautiful as that is, all they could write on his little headstone was ‘Baby P’.
That wasn’t his name, and it’s shameful that the law says we should’nt be entitled to know it.

As for the social workers etc involved they scare me.
They are always at the frontline in any doubts over child abuse and often there is no where else to turn. Complain to a school etc about a child’s welfare and they refer it on to them. These people are incompetent beyond, and the likes of them means children are in danger every day.

I agree with Siobhan Walder. Where the heck was the father? Baby P was considered for foster care. He was repeatedly brought to the hospital for abuse and everything. Where the heck was this “heartbroken” father?
Eight months! This angel was tortured for eight months. Where the heck was he?!
The same goes for the 15-year-old witness? Did she have fun watching Baby P being tortured? From the story, she was always in that house. Was she friends with the monsters? Again, the torture went on for months! If she was so disgusted with what was happening, why didn’t she tell her parents or any adult?!

I am a pensioner. I read this with abject horror and disbelief that anyone, born in this country, could do such things - repeatedly - to an innocent child. It is compounded by a seemingly total lack of any remorse by the Connolly/Barker creatures (Human they’re not!) Truly, may they rot in hell when their time comes, and may that be soon. I am confident that their fellow prisoners will ensure they are made very welcome in which ever ‘nick’ they finish up in - Cons hate child killers, and I deplore the report that they may have “Human Rights” law protect them, should they survive ’til their release dates. To my mind, anyone who fails to show any humanity to their fellow man should forgo any ‘rights’ they have under the wretched Human rights laws. Common sense and natural law, in my book.

what I don’t get is why you all care so much about baby P, when there are so many children that suffer even worse every day, all over the world, it’s just because this particular case was in England. All this feels so unfair, if you’re passionate about these things, why not try and change the system to ensure things like this never happen, not bitch and moan, what good will that do baby P or other children?

Thank you to everyone on this site who’s had the courage and determination to stand up to this Big Brother style state that seems to protect these monsters. These people do not deserve to have their identities hidden and as for the protection of siblings I’m happy to say that I don’t believe that this country has degraded to such an extent that we would punish children for the actions of their brutal parents. They are not ’sick’ - they knew exactly what they were doing. Myra Hindley died in prison because of fear for her safety if she was released - one of the few instances in our warped justice system where life imprisonment actually meant LIFE. These people do not deserve to be released - and if releasing their names means that they have to spend the rest of their lives in solitary confinement - so be it.

What is dusturbing about this is that it highlights the horrors of something that we can never really imagine, and now we know it’s going on it slaps reality right across our faces.
Nothing about obsessing over one child abuse case v the rest. That’s a naive way of seeing it. There will be children right now maybe suffering similarly, so do we just say ‘Oh this baby is one of many’ and leave it there? Or do we say ‘this babay is one of many, let’s get something done about it’?
We all want the system changing, and this will remind us why, time and again.
I have qualms about the safety of one child near to me, I’ve contacted various agencies (months ago) but the one thing I see which I’ve spoken about is still happening.
Too many people shrug these things off, that’s why too many children suffer.

He needs to be exposed, sod the perverse legal ruling that has his identity protected. Why should future juries not be told what the bastard has already done. It’s not as if he’s going to face any more jail time pending potential further charges. Also, does anyone know why Judge Stephen Kramer downgraded the charges to ‘causing or allowing death’ from ‘murder’ when there have been many other cases where it was hard to establish exactly who caused the fatal blow ie. Jerry Tobin or Mary-Ann Leneghan but all received murder sentences? 2 weeks on and this case still angers me so much.

Probably because the judge felt it could not be proven to a jury which injury caused the death of Peter, and they would all run what is called a “cutthroat” defense. Or he felt a jury would not be able to objectively make a decision in his “calm disconnected way of life” ( most judges are disconnected from the real world or live in cuckoo land and are afraid of gov’t )and would convict purely on emotion and public outrage.
Personaly I would of left it to the jury to decide then I would of given them life with a minimum of 99 years.
I would sell everything I had to see them given the same human rights and justice they gave poor little Peter by a professional exterminator. Sadly that’s illegal.
I think that it was dreadful how Peter was tortured by those scumbags. They should be hung drawn and quartered. But before that I would do to them what they did to the baby, i.e break their ribs, back pull their fingernails out with pliers and give them numerous cuts and bruises, and then see how great they feel after. I also don’t buy the fact that the real father did not know what was going on. Because if he was being beaten and tortured every day for the last 8 months there is no way all that could be covered up. Not unless he was totally blind. Well at least some heads have rolled since yesterday, namely a few sackings and regisnations. I live in the area where they were living (Tottenham) and go past Penshurst road every morning on my way to the station to go to work. But I don’t think it would do much good anyone petrol bombing the house like someone suggested. Good idea, but rather pointless because from the news last night on TV showed the house is empty. Also I think that from what the 15 year old girl who was living has stated, it sounds like it was the sadistic boyfriend who delivered the fatal blow after the baby had been crying in agony after the scumbag had earlier broken his back. Also another reason they did not want his name released was he faces another charge next year for apparently raping her young daughters. So the charge should have been murder not just allowing a child to die. What a cop out. And none of them should be given new identities. Pity we are not America then would could have left them on death row. And then finally execute them. At least little Peter is free from pain and at peace now.

This story still upsets me, sadly the poor little mite is not alone, the figures given recently stated that some 210 children are killed each year by relatives, a horrendous figure.
Little Baby Peter will though hopefully provide the catalyst for change in a system that has become increasingly morally corrupt.
Only if people continue to highlight this case will change be effected, rest assured, they are waiting for the day something happens that will detract attention away from this very sad case.

With regard to the”doctor” it has been allegedly mooted that coming from a wealthy family she attended the university to gain her doctorate, however it appears it was purchased by a donation to the university from her family. So basically attended, did very little and daddy paid for it. So did poor little Peter.
The BMA needs to look very closely at her “qualifications”. I don’t doubt they are genuine, how they were obtained is another matter.
Further reported that the social workers involved are feeling upset and suicidal. One lives in hope.
I would also like to see Shoesmith as the victim of a violent mugging, and then have the police wave graphs in her face saying, “we’re doing better, and by the way violent crime is on the decrease”. That knowledge should cheer her up no end.
