North Wales

It was the August Bank Holiday on Monday. So, we went to North Wales. It was actually a last-minute thing. We drove to a small town in North Wales, Betws-y-coed (pronounced Betsy co-ed), Snowdonia.
Anyway, the trip was almost 80 miles, 2 hours drive. We originally planned to go to Llandudno, but by the time we reached Betws-y-coed, it was rather late, about 12.30 noon. Also it was cloudy, the weather was unpredictable. The scenery on the way there was beautiful, lots of sheep around as well. Betws-y-Coed is the principal village of the Snowdonia National Park. The Snowdonia National Park in North Wales covers more than 800 square miles, it is a region of haunting beauty and grandeur, of wild rocky mountains, hidden valleys, cascading rivers, still glacial lakes and deep forests. There’s lots of beautiful landscapes in North Wales.
This is the second time I have been here. It was very busy, the town had narrow roads and little parking space. So, traffic was horrendous. There were lots of caravans, it’s popular here, caravaning, especially in the summer.

Lots of hiking that you can do as well but we did not do any because we have Ian with us..not really practical. We had lunch there and just walked around the shops, bought some souvenirs for back home.

We didn’t do any sight-seeing ‘coz the roads were packed and it’s not really pram-friendly…so narrow. We saw this couple feeding their dog ice cream..haha..oh yes, there were loads and loads of dogs especially huge ones.

We couldn’t take much photos because the camera was acting up..Ian spilled water on it in the car, so the shutter was not working…sigh..that means I might need to get a new camera..
It was still busy and the motorway was jammed!! Traffic was slow moving, snail paced. By the time we reached home it was about 8:30pm. Straight to bed for Ian.
It was a nice day out, though. We will be visiting and exploring more of North Wales whenever we can and also if the weather permits!
This coming weekend, we plan to go to Liverpool to visit hubby’s godfather. Hope the weather will be good..

waaah look at the big open space.. i love the scenes especially! My dream is to have a nice little cottage just below a nice green valley like tat…
