Mother’s Day

It was Mother’s Day last Sunday in the UK. There was a year when I was a bit blur and thought that Mother’s Day was the same everywhere…haha…so I called my mom and wished her happy Mother’s Day…and she was like …huh?…hehe..and this was like 3am in the UK, I waited till it was morning so that I could wish her earlier…then…haha…wrong day!
Anyway, every year we do the same thing, either eat at my MIL or take her out. So we went to the local pub, had lunch. All of us had a 3 course meal. It was not very good, because Ian was acting up and he was tired, so he was restless and driving me crazy.
I had Homemade Butternut Squash & Chive Soup as a starter
,
Chicken Supreme wrapped in Bacon filled with Soft Cheese & Apricot finished with a rich Mushroom Cream Sauce for my main course
and dessert, I had Homemade Red Cherry Cheesecake.
Hubby had Game Pate served with Melba Toast and Redcurrant Jelly for starter and Prime English Roast Beef & Homemade Yorkshire Pudding for mains and Double Trouble Chocolate Fudge Cake for dessert.
My
MIL had Variety of Melon Balls in Port Wine for starter and had the same main course and dessert as me.
The starter and dessert was alright but the main course was a bit yucky because of the cheese, it stank and kind of taste/smell like durian…hehe..
Ian had chicken teddy nuggets with fries. Look how he mutilated the teddy..hehehe..
I didn’t take all the photos of the food..was busy keeping Ian entertained …phew…
I bought myself these flowers..paid for by hubby. It’s tulips and lilies.
That is the before and after photo…didn’t bloom yet, so after a few days, the lilies are out…nice.. Also, cards from Ian and hubby.
The photos are a bit blur and not so good because I took it with my Nokia N95.

as for me I had my day eatting out on sat wanton mee and on the sunday I was so poorly end up lyn in the sofa derek run around to get me thing cost I was so unwell

yes, different countries celebrate on different days. i get confused too sometimes, don’t know which country celebrate on which day.
